  34. Hello kino! I have a question. I have been working on second series for about a year now, primary for about 4years. With the backbends on the belly like shalabhasana and dhanurasana, I can feel the engagement of Uddiyana Bhanda into the hollow space of the pelvis, but due to my anatomy (I believe, with wide set hips) I get most of the pressure for the balance on my pubic bone instead of the iliac crests, which barely graze the mat. With all the weight being there, it makes those poses, while easily accessible with strength and flexibility, very painful. Is that something that through practice will even out, or will those postures continue to cause discomfort? If so, how can I modify? Thank you!!
